On those Manitowoc probes. It is better to just replace them if they are bad enough. I've had few of them go bad after trying to clean them.

Agreed, not on the water circuit, or ice production areas. Lime solvent just on the white flaky stuff on the exterior of the machine if they are concerned with cosmetics. Never on the water circuit...

I meant to say clean the non ice and water areas with the lime solvent. And nickel safe for the ice production areas.

It also voids the warranty on equipment if it is used. It displaces what the filter drier catches and blows it out the back of the drier. Plus it makes a mess of your gauges.
