Hi travis, I too would be interested in a copy if possible, my email is in my profile.
There is also a V2 Easyio30P that has a better processor and more memory; it can easily recognised by a blue run light instead of green.
My experience is that using the modbus comms on the...
Yes you would have to replace it, noone is going to develop a programming tool that can miraculously program anyones devices from the past but moving forward I would epect all players will develop...
This is exactly where the Sedona framework comes in; 1 tool (I mean software tool not the person programming is a tool )to program multi vendor products. I dont even have to use a Jace with my...
Its not what I would call programming its more configuring, you get menu's with the different types of functions, each function is numbered and each input/output/parameter is numbered.
EasyIO are great controllers they have 3 differnt firmware files (Bacnet, Modbus or Sedona). With the Modbus firmware they can be programmed with a web browser; this is how I started using them. I...
IMHO there is no way of acurately estimating savings without studying how the system operates now.
My bean counters have asked me to do the same thing numerous times and I will never give them...
Hi, first things first you need a seperate power supply for the 7798 and the SCU.
Your address on the SCU is 5.
You need DIP sw 6 on to have double address mode
Have you loaded a bin file to...
I have just read through this thread and I got caught out with the exact same thing with the modbus card on the Johnson/Eaton VFD. The + and - terminals are back to front.
I worked it out whils...
I have just installed some 50 odd Sedona controllers that are all IP based. We ran in a new standalone network and all necessary infrastructure to support it.
I didnt even thik of those at CSI we used a sensor that they called a lini-temp and I believe it was something very similar to the item suggested by Bob.
I am not sure if I have missed something but is there a reason why you decided you couldnt use a 0-10v DC temperature sensor instead?
This is the kinda thing I intend on setting up, I just need to chase up the tower design information.
Its not likely I will ever get 12°C condensor water anyway but I can certainly relate the tower setpoint to chilled water entering.
This is a variable orifice machine as well.
Have you done...
I understand the differance but that type of system is extremely rare here; hence the question.
I had it verbally confirmed again today, I have asked for it in writing, from the supplier/manufacturers "engineer" that 12°C water is optimimum for this machine?
What has fee cooling and mechanical cooling got to do with a cooling tower?
I have seen a few systems where the cooling tower is coupled to the chw loop through a heat exchanger as the first stage...
I dont understand the logic behind this for a cooling tower. Dewpoint can be very important for chilled water temperature so you are not dehumidifying at your cooling coils; but that is a different...
This is exactlly what I am trying to avoid and now that I have sensors setup and am logging wet bulb I agree there is no chance I will achieve wet bulb.
Its an old Muller tower which I believe...
Its a York YK 1550 kW with VSD, VGD, IGV and hot gas bypass ;)
I was categorically told the lower the condenser water temp the better and that 12 was considered the minimum.
But going on the...
What I have been told is the colder the better and going on the design data that has been provided at different condensor water temperature they are correct.
What about one of these?
CSI was merged with TAC some time ago and is now owned by Schneider Electric.
The Inet product is still actively sold and supported in my part of the world.
What experiance do you have with BMS...
Check out Infocon's EasyIO30P, great value for money controller, that can be programmed with sedona or direct via a web browser.
I am after others thoughts on efficient cooling tower control. I have a chiller that the manufacturers tell me can handle down to 12 C condensor water. When I installed the chiller I added VFD...
