Check your vent termination as Hearthman has suggested.
I was trying to.......:gah:
Shouldn't the white wire go with all the other neutrals!! I'm so confused!:confused
If you didn't clean the pilot and orifice, you will be back!
There are no absolutes other than death and taxes.
Good luck, and I'm not looking for an argument and mean no disrespect
Not a problem, I appreciate and accept everyone's responses to the...
I'll send you an email. Thanks.
Can you provide an example of a Lennox model that indicates this in their literature?
Thanks Rundawg,
The ANSI Z21.47/CSA 2.3 requirement of 0.04% (400ppm) Air Free is somewhat confusing as you have stated. By undiluted I was referring to a CO sample (strictly CO) taken inside the...
This is going to be a vague question with a multiple of answers and suggestions I'm sure, but here it goes.
What is considered "normal", if there is such a beast, of undiluted flue gas CO readings...
And you are proud of this? Seems like your helper has more sense than you. Not worth it my friend!!
That's a Carrier PAV, exchangers are likely cracked. Sell them a new furnace after confirming cracks and install new unit with front of cabinet facing out. :grin2:
You can't be serious?? :gah
x2. Use your multimeter to diagnose spark module. When it sparks, check that you have 24volts between PV and MV/PV terminals on board. These modules require a good solid ground to operate correctly....
i think you are mis-interpreting the install instructions. I highly doubt you would ever get 12 " of snow on that roof in Texas! MAINTAIN 12 IN.
(18 IN. FOR CANADA)
MINIMUM CLEARANCE
ABOVE HIGHEST...
x2. Fan limit switch.
No, not the same!
You heard wrong!
x2
Not trying to be rude, but the message you didn't get from reading the previous posts is that if you are replacing your existing unit with an 80% unit or installing a 90% unit and orphaning the...
You need either a thermocouple, or power pile.
That's a broad assumption!
Wow! thought I was never going to get thru all these posts. I think you guys scared him off.:couchhide:
FYI, thermopiles very seldom fail, looks for excessive millivolt losses in the circuit as cjpwalker has stated.
I hear ya!
:bump:
??????????????? Interesting description of how a thermocouple works! ???????
All I can say is that the fan is working as it should. Make the call, as you yourself has stated, you don't have ANY experience working on heaters.
I'm trying to locate an owner's manual for a FMI GLS650 Victoria Series natural gas unit. I've been to their web site but that model is not listed? Customer is having an issue with log placement,...
Yes.
Multi-meters and a thorough knowledge of millivolt systems...what a concept! Oh never mind, lets just throw parts at the thing and hope it doesn't go bang...
No wall switch or remote.
Is it on a thermostat then????
As per B149.1, a vent shall not terminate within 12" of a door or window for appliances with inputs from 10,000-100,000 btuh, so yes you are correct at 12"
Have you cleaned the pilot burner and orifice? What about combustion air, have you got a blockage somewhere? What are your millivolt readings? Start with the basics b-4 changing parts needlessly....
The on/off switch I'm referring to is the rocker switch located on the gas valve next to the molex connector. The on position is the - side of the switch.
Make sure the on/off switch is in the on position.
What does your manual say, it appears that your remote is giving you some type of error code with the "beeps".
Yes, and he was excellent, spent well over an hour with my wife and I, went thru all the features of every appliance. If not for him we probably would not have bought LG because we really didn't know...
Thanks for the replies, looks like maybe Life's not so good, LG rep at store must have been a hell of a salesman 'cause he convinced me and the mrs. to buy! We'll see how well or not so well things...
Looking for some feedback on LG kitchen appliances, good or bad? I just purchased a fridge, convection range (electric), dishwasher, and microwave. Haven't had much luck with GE, Whirlpool,...
Never thought to look there, thanks.
Dirty/lazy pilot, is the pilot being pulled away from the thermocouple when main burner ignites? You need to clean it up and get thermocouple readings, I know some of those units can be a pain in the...
That's what I thought I was going to have to do, fabricate my own, and Rob I won't tell Hearthman.
Thanks guys.
I haven't contacted any of my local gas fireplace distributors as of yet, but I was wondering if the retainer clip that holds the pilot diffuser in place can be purchased individually? I need one for...
Time for a gas insert.
I I replaced the entire gas log unit.
???????
This is not a DIY site. Please have a qualified fireplace tech come out and inspect your unit.
7"wc is standard house line pressure here as well, 3.5"wc is a typical manifold pressure. I agree with Mike, do not let him adjust the service regulator.
. Can I assume this is normal and it will diminish after a while?
No, you should not assume this is normal. You need to have a qualified fireplace service tech check...
I installed the GD36 model with standing pilot several years ago in my basement and haven't had an ounce of trouble. Gd model comes with ceramic glass. I also installed fan kit and faux brick liner...
Thanks fireplaceguru, are you flooding in your area yet? I hear the mighty Red is getting high!
How about using a dab of high temp silicone or jb weld to hold it together???
A Montigo 36DV unit, 18 years old.
Is it possible to repair a broken ceramic log from a natural gas unit or is replacement the only option? It's a Y shaped log with one of the legs broken off
