They work on vacuum... When the unit is cold the gauge should be in the green zone. if not you have to heat it up and the bleed the system, so it creates a vac.. if it does not then look for a leak.

Sounds like the t-stat and the LP Control are working against each other.
Use the t-stat to control box temp and set LP Control as a safety.

remove the planetary and press it out. That is the only way that worked for me. remove the oil in the planetary first. reinstall and add new oil.it takes about 6 oz.
