I would suggest disconnecting them. They're easy to get caught on something and damage if hooked up when not in use.

No. The DC doesn't have a built in micron gauge. I like it that way. If you interested in a good micron gauge, check out the Bluvac.

I'm not sure about the clamp question. The DC has a liquid line...

The smallest size the clamps will work on is 1/2 or close to it. It tried on 1/4 and the clamp sensing probe wouldn't touch the pipe.

But that's what the Velcro straps are for. The velcro style...

The sensors screw in. Once attached they are snug and sturdy. There is a cap to cover the plug when then sensors are not in use.

Waterproof? I'm not going to claim that but I wouldn't hesitate...

I would recommend the clamp style. Faster and easier application then the Velcro style.
