Sorry I am not a HVAC person. I guess it was a dumb idea. The condenser has thick copper/steel fins. Guess I better pull out the wire brush and paint stripper. Should have asked first before painting.

Hello:

Painted the condenser fins (Copeland condenser) on a aquarium chiller. Beginning to wonder if it was a good idea, does the paint reduce the efficiency of the condenser to dissipitate heat.

Evaporator is a PVC tube with what appears to be titanium or 316 stainless coil circulating the refrigerant.

I am talking about the green corrosion. Tremclad rust paint seems to better than regular spray paint.
