I was wondering if any of you could help me figure this one out.I am a York dealer and I am working on an old Carrier heat pump, some genius ripped the model nameplate off the unit and now I have to try to figure out what size the thing is. The Carlyle compressor has model number MD20913HB.Does anyone have an idea of what ton unit this might be? The only place that I know of to try to find out anything about this and the guy tells me he has no idea.
Two suggestions. Try calling the Carrier distributor in the area. Or, maybe you can go a round about way. If the area is a "tract" style area- all the units are the same, you know, all the same size houses, sneak a peak at their units. Also, I assume that you could'nt get any info off of the indoor unit, like model# or maybe an expansion valve size?
Try Carrier. Good luck.
why not do a load calc, your hedging your bet that the last guy got it right and that nothing has changed since then.
THANX DOC, Good Suggestion.
