I know I should install a chimney, but money is tight and I'm forced to vent my new coal stove with a power vent. My question is what is the main difference between the two models of sideshots? Which one would you recommend?

You can't use that for coal burning. They are for oil or gas only.
Besides even if it was approved for coal, you'd be painting that side of the house every spring.
