Which dealer is better?
All equipment is about the same.
I agree, Both are quality products, however, proper installation is the key
Compare the features available between brands and models,Like variable speed fan, dehumidification controls,etc..
And find a great installer!
IMO, definetly stay away from RHEEM. I have a 2 year old package unit which has been nothing but problems since day one. The regional RHEEM rep. came out to see unit after the last problem, (rain water getting inside unit), his solution to installer, caulk unit up and remove all the wet interior insulation. Insulation was removed, but not replaced. RHEEM, IMO, is junk.
No, Rheem is good food.Quote:

All four are Rheem bashes.
Mmmm.
Maybe he doesn't like Rheem? :D
Sounds like he's got a good reason, but who knows what the truth is.
Both Rheem/Ruud, and Trane/American Standard are good units.
Just make sure the dealer does a heat lost/gain on your home, and also stands behind their workmenship if something goes wrong.. Ask around friends, neighbors of who is good. Get 2 or 3 bids.

One bad experience with a particular brand of equipment is no reason to condemn the entire manufacturers product line. Fisher, it is obvious that you are a homeowner and not part of the HVAC trade, and while it is unfortunate that you had a bad experience with a Rheem product, you certainly are not qualified to make the broad condemning statements against what is actually a very reliable and well built product. So why don't you just stick to asking for advice here.
