We have narrowed our search for replacement gas furance and ac to theese two. both contractors have very good ratings with the bbb. both had great pictures of their work and both did a load caculation. so now i guess we are buying on name the price difference is small. i learned alot on here as in what questions to ask and so on. your help in which unit you would put in your own home would be of great advice!
Thanks in advance for your input!

Rheem
Rheem over Carrier any day of the week..

both rheem and carrier are good producs. you can not go wrong with either one.

You know I would like to also recommend one but I will not. I think you really need to sit down and make sure you are comparing similar items and then use your gut feeling about who's service is better.
What models are you comparing?

Be pretty hard for me to take any Carrier over any Rheem. But Doc is right, see what models are being proposed.

To take it to the final point of decision. Have each contractor connect you to a reference customer to talk to @ possibly here the same unit as you are getting. Listen to the furnace @ the customer, Youll figure it out.

Try a combustion analysis instead of each unit. Thats like furnace "blood"

tlcartman get another estimate
I would have to agree with that.
