Im a 20 year old, looking for hvac on the job experience. I can work weekends or take any hours you have to offer and can work for little pay as long as i get to learn .. Im a hard worker (physically and mentally) and extremely willing to learn the trade. Have you taken any hvac classes at San Jose City College? The instructors there regularly get job opening information and then they give referrals to those students who have shown they are motivated. You are often placed as much by motivation as you are ability.
Great instructors there who care about you. But, you have to apply yourself and prove yourself to them.
