Max vertical lift
If the recomended maximum vertical lift of a lineset for a given split system unit is say 20 ft and you were to push that lift 1/2 again past the recomended to 30 ft what would the result be ? any short term issues such as pressures or freezing problems or long term damage. New and curios about this limit and its effects
The lineset needs to be properly sized according to the application it is being used. As long as its sized properly, shouldn't be too many effects.
Here on the beach, we have run linesets with close to 80 ft of lift.
put your traps in every 15 feet and if you are running your lineset longer the manu's specs add oil and charge to suit

Some manufacutrers don't want traps even if the condenser is above the evap.
Read the instructions for the unit your installing. If your height is outside of what the install manual has instructions for, call the manufacturer, and find out what they want.
The ectra 10' of height will reduce teh head pressure at your metering devince by 5 PSIG for the height alone.
