Can someone please direct me to all this $$ you guys are arguing over, lol...No seriously im looking for a overseas gig & I need a contact!! Can you all help?!?
Many websites reveal that the contractor experience in these zones is not the same as the military personnel experience. The commeraderie, chain of command, and belief systems are not in place in the contractor environment. One site described a great deal of lying and workeplace political intrigue, without redress.
Well ok...I can understand that, however many of the contractors are prior service?!?...I get we are not military anymore but can't we still look out for one another during the transition?!?...afterall, who is going to welcome me into the civilian side...cause the military is for certain done with us..any contacts?...Thanks for the reply, its been the only one I have recieved so far.
I looked into the work because I have an academy background. In fact, we produced Stormin' Norman and Gary Roughead, the recently retired CNO.
I felt that many of the contractor groups appeared to have too many undesirable types, and not enough unit cohesion.
Just my two cents. I don't want you to be disappointed.
Try kbbr or Lockheed Martin, my brother works for one of them in Afghanistan, can't remember which one. He has been there as a srgnt and now a civilian for 6 or more years now.
