Compressor is making a rattling noise after being installed. It was removed working with no noise from another condo from the same landlord. But now it makes a rattling noise. No oil was spilled during the move. Valves were closed and taped up. This is a 2 ton king condenser.
System was checked to see if it was over charged it isn't.
Compressor doesn't make the noise if its under charged.
Tech says that maybe one of the legs with internal springs might of gotten loose while moving it? or out of position?
Any ideas on how this can be fixed with out having to replace the compressor?
Thanks In Advanced,
If the spring is broken or detached there is no way to fix it as these compressors are hermetically sealed.
would be a nice weekend project opening one up :)
i wonder if its just out of position. And maybe turning it upside down once and see if it gets back into position before buying a replacement.
Ill be changing out the condenser with a new r410 unit and evap coil. :couch:
Thanks again for the help guys :)
