It's a crack. The glare from the flash on the camera kind of hides it's size. It was 3" long and opened up almost 3/8" in the middle - melted the fusable link.

sounds like the homeowner should adopt that fuse link :whistle:

I hope you sell the costumer a new furnace. insted of changing out the heat exchanger.
