Wall furnace after I replaced it and ran a new thermostat line.
That little misaligned flap in the upper right has been driving me batty ever since I noticed it in the picture. Maybe I should head over and fix it. "Hello ma'am and sir, my OCD demands entrance into your property so I can make your furnace cover flaps perfectly aligned again."

I guess I didn't give enough information. Those aren't legal here either. The homeowners had their furnace break down (probably the thermocouple not generating enough millivolts). They weren't sure how to fix it. So they decided why keep the middleman? and removed the regulator.Quote:

That 1/2" coupling in place of the gas valve also removed the regulator for 3.5" pressure at the manifold. So it was running at 7 or 8" pressure. Over fired for sure.
The CPSC also published a warning about that uncoated brass gas flex connector. Our Gas Utility Co. Red Tags all uncoated brass connectors.
