Any suggestions or links to someplace to get a good metal brake for the van. Wish I would have saved the dough I spent on the cheap one I bought. Looking to buy a decent one. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks

How big?
We have a Grizzly 4' box and pan break at the shop and it works mighty well.
I would stay away from the Malco brake, those couldn't brake tin foil right.
that would be the cheap one I'm talking about. I think I could do anything I'll need to do for quite a while w/ a 4' break. haven't checked grizzley but I'll do that now.
Thanks
Spend the extra money on a box and pan.
You could spend a little more and buy an American made tool from Tennsmith, Proformer (eBay) or Roper Whitney...
Why support the Chinese if there is a choice?
I have one of those... Total POS!! I can do better metal folds with a 24" barfolder than that Malco brake...Quote:

Now once I saw a guy use a barfolder that was able to make pitsburghs... It seemed like it worked OK, slow, but ok... Has anyone heard of this? He said he got it from an old man... I am interested in trying this for pinch situations.
there used to be a thread on here ( I think in the tips and tricks of the trade section) about someone showing how to so that. I looked pretty slick when they were done.
Maybe one of the mods will come along and post a link. I don't know how.
