Why does copeland use a 3/4" pipe thread for the rigging eye bolt? I could not find anything to rig this and had to strap it and choke it. Has anybody found anything that will work on rigging it using the center 3/4" pipe thread??

There are 2, 1/2" threaded holes.
Facing the oil pump, one is located rear left near the stator cover and the other is located right front in front of the head.
Install eye bolts in each hole, run a chain between them, locate a shackle centrally and adjust it to get a good 'neutral' lift.
Eff slinging them. We almost lost one on a mezzanine compressor room doing that.
how much weight?
Can always weld a 5/8" nut to a 3/4 pipe nipple and thread the nipple into the compressor and thread your eye bolt into the nut on the nipple.. I dont think ive seen the 4d or a compressor with only 3/4" pipe thread on the top for rigging, seems odd..
Depending on size, a 4D can run 425-475#
That is a port typically used for Demand Cooling, not a lifting point.
