Yeah, it throws a guy for a loop, especially when you have worked on so many that were all the same ( in the pump down regard ).
After a long and hot installation, one system has no refrigerant, and after going thru the manual and referring to ' pump down ' as you have always known it, it was frustrating.
BUT, why change something that has always been? With a suction line of like 3 feet, isn't there the chance we can get a ' wet ' start now and then??

I have noticed that the ICOM controls do things that tech support can't explain. The software guys make changes and I guess don't tell anyone.
