Man this client is pissed. Tech feels terrible. I'm happy the micron gauge is telling me its alllllmost time to go home.
About a year ago one of our techs forgot he left his fieldpiece multimeter on top of a condenser, went inside to call for cooling, comes back out to find that one of his test leads had wrapped around the blade - the momentum made the detachable tip turn into a projectile - and in a one in a million shot, pierced one of the veins in the middle of the coil. I wish I had a pic of that, aftermath. Damn.
That can be fixed.
Carrier RTUs are known for rubbing through the TOP of the coil.
Pry back the fins and build up some 15%.
That can be fixed with some 15% ( Have you seen the price of that stuff?!?!?) Just sucks if its a new piece of equipment and the customers knows about it. If i was paying for new equimpment Id be telling them to get me a new one. Lucky this customer doesn't sound like a piece of work like me :whistle:Quote:
