Does a Trane XL90 which has a "multi-speed" blower operate at different speed levels or is one speed selected at installation? If I were to leave the fan on all the time, would it be operating at a low level?

Probably a 4 speed blower. A GOOD installer would set heat & cool speeds appropriately based on info given him by his salesman or checking static pressure and reading the blower chart. Probably wasn't done though and both are where the factory put them. Usually OK for heat, often wrong for cool.
Trane used the XL90 name for a long time. Need to know model #. The older ones ran cool speed for fan. The newer ones run low heat speed for fan.
It is the current TUX model. The basic question is whether it adjusts to different speed levels during operation or is it set to one speed based on the required cfm at installation (i.e. the installer has 4 choices)? I intend to run the fan continuously and am wondering if it will be at the same speed all the time when it it circulating, heating or cooling.
The fan speed should be low heat speed which is usually low. High heat would be higher speed. Cool should have been (but odds are slim it was) set according to A/C size.
