Delta
Hands down Delta. Best BACnet system on the market.

Why is Delta better? We are being told Navtive BACnet is better? is Trane and Delta Native Bacnet
Native BACnet is marketing.
Delta uses an open architecture on both the hardware and software, meaning that it can connect to other BACnet devices without any additional database management, point packs or hardware gateways like some systems rely upon. I haven't done much with the latest generation of Trane devices but I have played around with a SC (webserver / head end controller) and even though I knew the IP data could not connect via BACnet on the IP side, no problem accessing the web pages so the device was online and active. Could connect via the MSTP port and enter the SC via RS485. Trane appears to have multiple lines using multiple protocols (comm4 , comm 5 , BACnet , LONworks etc). Delta has BACnet, MODbus and their own protocol (LINKnet) for expander cards and smart sensors (which according to some post on the interwebby is just BACnet/MSTP and the LINKnet devices appear to be BACnet slaves (do not reply to Who-Is queries).
The largest project I have ever work on was Delta, approx 2500 Delta controllers and 100 or so third party BACnet devices from Trane, Carrier, ABB, Danfoss, Onicon and it functioned well. Had great success with the product.

I worked for Trane for 12 yrs. If you let them in they will make you a hostage. They will not sell the software to any competitors so you are stuck with them and their pricing. Delta gives a building owner choices since it is true bacnet, you can use other brands of controllers if you become dissatisfied. Our company has installed a lot of Delta systems and our customers have been happy. My 2 cents.
Delta is by far the most BACnet compliant Native BACnet system on the market.
Trane Co. Should really stick to making Chillers, Fan Coils and Air Handler units. When it comes to controls they fail. And worse yet, their new BACnet System is in beta and every firmware upgrade almost requires a redo on any custom program.
I know of a building where Trane underbid to use it as a beta site to test with the existing Delta system... The customer, and the Cx Agent are so pissed off they are asking for a price to extend the Delta system to take over the crap Trane put in.
Why just Trane or Delta?
There are many others.
How big is the project?
