How many runs can come off of one piece of ductwork For EXAMPLE 8x24 .can you have four 6inch runs coming off of the 8x24 ductwork
8 x 24 how many 6 inch runs ? 11.5
so i can run four 6 inch runs off one 8x24
Is that end or does it reduce and continue? Is it lined inside? Whats feeding the 8x24?
its going to be reduced and the 8x24 is being feed from
A/C unit
8x24 is the first piece
Reduced to what? You'd be better of explaining how many individual runs and the size of each you got on that whole trunkline from the plenum to the end cap for an accurate answer.
Also how many CFM availble, how many required and whats on the other side as well.
have 11 runs ..wanted to have 4 6inch runs from the 8x24 and then reduce to 8x18 and come off with 4 6inch runs and then reduce to a 8x10 and come off with 3 6inch runs and let the 8x10 be the very end of trunkline. can i do that
thank you
1200 cfm availble would that be using all the cfms
Thats more like it...now if I just had a ductulator handy :)
If its metal you'll probaly be ok, maybe 8x16 and 8x8, I still havent looked it up.
You need to include what the return will consist of as well.
8X24,1200 cfms,is .1 friction Rate,which is a rule of "dumb".
You need a Man.D duct design!
If your going to guess ,use .08FR for supply and .06 for return duct. Then it will be less money to make it right in the future.
