April 1730 dehumidifier

I am dealing with an Aprilaire 1730 dehumidifier whose compressor does not turn on.

In test mode, the fan comes on, the compressor appears to struggle to turn on, but instead the unit just shuts off.

Any thoughts on the next step in troubleshooting this?

Call a service company/tech. Sorry, this is not a DIY site.

Take it to a mechanic that repairs window a/cs. Suggest you don't give hints for DIY
