We hired an HVAC contractor to install a new furnace last year. He pulled the no filter cabinet, shove the filter under the blower stunt. Needless to say I called the lowlife on it. He sent his minions back out to install a filter cabinet, but screwed up everything else in the process. I ended up redoing the whole mess.
Were those T12 tubes? That gives me a clue, I bought a case of GE UltraMAX ballasts (GE-232-MAX-H/ULTRA) and upgraded mine to T8 tubes. T12s seem so outdated now.
At least you know the first thing to check on your next service call
Does it matter, tennant would not change it anyway.
