    facing the burner compartment , the flue and gas line come in at the right hand side near the corner. the inducer is at he bottom and the burners are on top. Tan

    If you are facing the unit, is the flue over on the right hand end, where the gas line comes in, OR

    is it in the middle, with the gas line, right in front of you as you face the unit?

    Is the unit a light green color?

    pilot should remain energized in the sequence. You attempt checking/setting pressures?

    the more i look, I am not finding this model # on line. the tag is bleached out and this # was written on unit above tag. could this be a 584apo?
    it is 3 phase

    White Rogers Ignition module

    I am working on a Payne m/n 584apw048080aa?g. I had an ignition problem with the orignal ignition module g770ngc-7. I installed a white rodgers module 50d50-843. followed the wiring diagram,added a burner ground, installed the green C chip. the ignitor sparks, lites pilot, main gas starts and shuts off pilot, no flame, main shuts off and restarts cycle. i have had this same problem with a Carrier furnace, tried a Robertshaw mod then a White Rodgers and both acted the same. is there something i am missing? is there a trick that is not in the paperwork?
