edit..wrong place
any idea which trad has more demand? also how hard is it to get in to HVAC union?
all those questions are wildly varied depending on location and type of HVAC work...i know some who are sitting at home and some who are pulling +60 hours a week..many Union many more Non-union. some making $0 because they are starting there own business, some +$40 because of skill and demand for there niche market. To many variables to have a solid answer.
Moved to job discussion. How much on average depends on the area. Resi new construction is not a high paying job.
how much on average HVAC installers get payed, also how many hourse most of them work and are they unionized?
depends on ur area, over by me some towns r makin it code for all new construction homes to be sprinkled, i hear its pretty decent but i cant imagine theyd be busy year round doin that alone, mayb if ur workin for a fire prevention company ud be busY
Both trades are in conjunction with construction. So both trades could be slow in your area. Although. HVAC does more service the sprinkler fitter.

IF you love the challenge of problem solving IF you have an aptitute for math, science, physics and electronics IF you have mechnical ability IF you want to be top dog in the trades IF you love to constantly learn and be challenged THEN pick HVAC IF not then you should settle for putting sprinklers together.
