This is all new since my warranty claim.

Honestly, time sometimes escapes me, but it was around the time of "Super Storm Sandy" as I wasn't able to return the loaner bag for a while because of that and was worried about getting charged for it.

I also had to authorize the purchase of a replacement bag, but there was no money out of my pocket except for that.

Veto shipped me the loaner bag with a pre-paid label inside. I swapped and boxed the old one up and shipped it the next day.

Couple weeks and it was shipped back to me. Couple phone calls and e-mails and some time elapsed (Veto is in Connecticut, so they were slammed by the storm) and I received a pre-paid return label via E-mail.

Printed it, boxed the loaner up and sent it.



Jill from Veto called and e-mailed me a couple times through the process to keep me up to date and called me after the exchange was made and asked about my satisfaction.

I did voice the opinion that they ought to have just replaced all 4 zip slides rather than just one because, with a 5 yr warranty, it was likely coming back again, anyway and it would save them money in the long run.

I also voiced the opinion that they should just get off the pot and put brass zips in them.

I can tell ya that if I'd been faced with what you're going through, I would not be happy.

Well, good news, they called back this afternoon. They said they don't usually do this but they would let me keep the loaner bag and close the warranty claim.

So it turned out ok in the end, but it was a hassle.

Still a very good toolbag. It seems to me they could put a 5 year warranty on everything but the zipper and maybe 2 years on the zipper. This would cut down on warranty expenses and thus allow them to provide better service when they do get a claim. I would still buy the bag, even if it had a shorter warranty.

I don't need a loaner but maybe I wont send it back. I sent pictures of the zippers to Veto and they said it could not be fixed. This is the discontinued laptop bag so I might be better off trying to get someone to install a higher quality zipper like JP said since I like the bag a lot. I've been using a XL in it's place but can't get used to the different layout. If I cant get it done I might just rip the flaps off but will probably be looking for something different cause thats not going to work as a solution

I think I'll just send mine in to VETO and see what comes of it.

I was also going to buy a veto bag next stop at a supply house. I wanted to grab a tp3 for a small lightweight bag to start carrying less stuff. This really has me 2nd guessing it now.

My main bag is a clc that is a year and a half old. It has held up good so far. Only problem was the strap broke but the bag stayed in tact. Put a new strap on it and it was good as new. I also bought a husky bag that I was going to use for service just didn't like the pocket setup so now that's an install bag.

I understand many of you want a good tool bag. My opinion is the bag is over priced. This has lead to declining sales which may explain the warranty issues. The target market was originally for technicians. But with the price of the bag many techs can't afford them, or simply won't pay that much because tools are of more importance. You can forget about the majority of new young techs because they can't afford them either. The bag has priced itself right out of business. Soon you may see a new lower price model that will generate some income and strengthen cash flow. Ask Digi-Cool, that $299.00 AK900 set up with the manifold included was a readjustment for them.

Also, that complete bag can be made in this country right now. Problem is the cash out lay for molds and tooling is more here, and they may have a hard time justifying that investment. So who do they really want to please? The customer? Our work force?

Sure not the same service we get from our suppliers...I'm gonna stick with with what I have....a big bucket and Bucket Buddy. Gives a guy a place to sit instead of kneel.

That being said I contacted them a while ago about mine with busted zippers and no love.
Will have to get back with them and see what the deal is. Are they going outta buiz or something?

I asked you cause I did not know what the attraction was.
All the bags i saw at HD and Loews had good pocket set up and zippered to protect the tools.

Please give me a link to a bag with a similar configuration, I have not found one after years of looking and buying tool bags.

The main advantages;
1. Enclosed to keep rain, snow etc off my tools
2. Water proof hard bottom
3. As close to a perfect pocket setup as I have ever seen.
