This is an entirely different situation from a company that makes (lets say)

Actually, companies try to accommodate potential customers comparing their products with that of competitor (perhaps why theirs is better than another). I gave the specs of the product I was in need of, which is a universal size on almost every residential condenser and vacuum pumps. I gave the sizes, and also included that of their competitors model for reference, that I was in need of, and they would not help me locate that product. I was told to go to a certain page on their website, which i did, and could not locate the hose I needed or if it even existed.
I don't know how your company operates, but if a potential customer asks for a certain product and uses another brand as a reference we will find a comparable product that we sell and provide this information to said potential customer. It's called Customer Service and most people demand this especially in a competitive market. I don't patronize business that don't provide excellent customer service because that is the first step in how you vision what type of service, and future service, you may receive. They teach this at almost every tech class to begin with before they go into troubleshooting and technical information. Knowing how to communicate with your customers is just as important as knowing how to repair problems. If you can't communicate you can forget about operating a success business or career.
The first thing customers perceive, and draw opinions, about a company is how they are treated or what type of service they may expect to obtain from customer service provided to them. First impressions are everything because making a second one is nearly impossible to acquire.
This is the reason i became so upset. I try and give a newer smaller company a chance and i get horrible customer service. I don't care if they make the greatest product ever! I would never buy just for the simple fact i was given poor customer service. I tried contacing more than once and never recieved a response on my second email.....

I have heard two stories of Mastercool vacuum pumps having catastophic failures resulting in the front of the pump being violently seperated from the housing shortly after start up. I would suggest not a brand you want or need.
