I can't imagine one office "needing" help from another office, unless you're talking about a sub-office getting help from another sub-office, where they are both under the same main office. I don't know if those you mention are related that way. In my 25 years with a Trane office, I never saw, or heard, of that happening. I started when the office was a franchise, with no subs, was there when it became an American Standard owned office, then with two subs (I was in one), then Ingersoll Rand owned, then it all became a sub to another, out of state, office. Only once did I spend any time with a tech from another sub office, and he was from one of the original subs. I never even met a tech from the new main office or one of its subs.
I'd like to know how Trane Texas/Oklahoma operates (with the exception of Houston, which is a franchise), only Dallas and El Paso are non-union. What if Dallas (non-union) needs help from San Antonio or OKC (both Union)? Or vice versa? I think the similar issue exists with Florida Trane, I believe only Miami is Union (not counting Tampa which is a franchise), the rest are not.
Bit of a bump here but, if anyone here works for them, can you provide me with some contact info for the Maitland, FL. branch? I applied several weeks ago and I can't get in touch with them, either through their contact form or main phone line listed on their site. Its an automated system that usually directs me to a voice mail . I hate online applications.
I got another email saying position is no longer available. That was Jacksonville I never heard a word about miromar
I've applied at Trane probably 10+ times and have been turned down for everything from sales counter to controls and HVAC. I figured 12 yrs in the field and I could at least get my foot in the door but not yet. Maybe my résumé just isn't cutting it. Good luck OP!
Got an email today from infers ill rand for one of the positions I applied for saying I will be contacted. Wish me luck

It may take up to another week for them to get back to you. If it's been 2 more weeks and you haven't heard anything, send me a PM and I can give you an email address so you can contact HR directly.

That message you got is a standard reply. They're just letting you know they received your application. If they are interested they will call you or email you to set up a phone call. I know Trane in Miramar (Miami) had a job posting earlier this year, but after I transferred in May I thought they took the posting down. They aren't exactly very busy right now. I know this because I have good friends there that I keep in touch with.

When I transferred between Trane offices I still had to fill out an on-line application, even though I already worked for the company and I had already made contact with someone at the new office. Even if you have a face to face meeting with someone, you'll still have to fill out the on-line app, just for paperwork's sake.
knowing the offices in my area and their characters it seem the corp people are forcing service groups to hire from apprentices to control and lead techs.then you'll get tagged with " that is the IR guy we had to hire" same deal with JCI/YORK and their crazy career site and numereous titles for HVAC guys
It's gotten pretty ridiculous. The Area Svc. Mgr. will ask you to apply online.
