Damn. I'm definitely saying that. It was "noted" on a work order. But it's a good way to cover my butt
Your company doesn't make money off of guys loosening belts on bad motors. Either the repair wasn't quoted which is on your buddy/company our it was quoted and not approved by the customer. Ask your boss "why" the quoted repairs aren't getting approved and he'll figure out the rest.
I guess it depends on how much your friend botches it and how often you want to lie for him.
I wish I could. Good friend of mine that's not an option. Just told my boss the motor is inoperable atm... Boss doesn't care too much I don't think, workers & cooks were pissed.
welcome to real life. make sure you plant your foot up the arse of that other tech via his/your boss.
Who's at fault here? Welp here's my story for today Last call of the day @ 3PM I show up to find a 1985 Water cooled unit serving a kitchen freezing up... Went through the basics (found dirty filters, belt etc) I noticed the belt was loose and adjusted ever so slightly and began working on another unit the tenant had. I worker ran over and yelled it's smoking. Well turns out another tech from my company was out there last year working on the unit and noticed the high amp draw and put the belt super loose to bring down the amp draw. And told no one. Yes yes I know after adjusting the belt I should have checked for amp draw right away but come on shouldn't I have been provided a note or something at least Just looking to brighten my day after this sh*t show. Motor fried. 3rd apprentice in Ontario
