All of the movies made about New Orleans political and other governmental corruption are not just made up out of the blue. They are based on real events that have occured in the city.

And dont forget that Half of the new Orleans police dept ran off with the mayor when he left town and those that remained are so pissed off at the others they wont let them back in

New Orleans does seem to have an abundance of it's people on the welfare rolls , 20,000 were in the superdome
remember they were there because they had no where else to go

They should know how bad their government is, there are enough full length movies exemplifying it. The Big Easy, Blaze and Hard Target come to mind off the top of my head. I know there are many more that nearly celebrate the corruption in Louisianna and especially New Orleans.

My bet

Would go to California, New York and Texas as far as sucking our resources dry.


I am hopefull the loss of live will be low... The loss of property will be staggering. We will, more than likely rebuild.. in time.

Mayor Nagin seems to be good at is sensationalizing and blaming everyong but himself it is a relief to see just how wrong this man was. Hopefull when we rebuild New Orleans we will not allow the corrupt government factions of the past be part of the New-New Orleans.


Has'nt he acted like someone guilty of doing something wrong , not knowing what to say or do.
