LOL, thats the best (and worst) part about this trade... ask 10 guys how it's supposed to be and get 11 different answers!
The core info was good, some people are just *******s that forgot that they knew nothing at one time. I hope I don't act like that when I know a lot lol.
Alot of hubbub about semantics
Wow this thread was a nail biter lol. Good stuff
Thanks for pointing that out.

You should be embarrassed, but you're showing that you're ignorant and arrogant instead. I just gave you several real world examples of negative pressure that exist in our trade because I felt relating the examples back to our trade would help you understand why you were wrong. I could go on and give examples outside of our trade, but I see that it would be completely pointless. Your sig line reads that after 15 years in the trade you have learned that you don't know enough, it seems to me that you really haven't learned anything at all. If you really, honestly and truely believe that negative pressure doesn't exist then I suggest you take this discussion to the commercial/chiller pro section and ask them, but you probably wouldn't listen to them either. You state that negative pressure is impossible by definition, I think YOU are impossible (to educate) by definition. I'm done here.
This thread needs to die
You can have a leak that appears to hold vacuum but leaks under pressure, however it would be an extremely slow leak that would take at least a season, probably two to make a noticeable difference in performance and definitely wouldn't affect the pressures like you're describing.

Just to be clear; My micron gauge worked fine. It simply didn't loose any vacuum for three days dispite having a leak under pressure.

Tthat is two differeny problems . First your leak issue charge with nitro at 150 leave overnight. Use charging chart take line set measurement as well. Evap coil is probably too small like the other guy said but you gotta have proper super heat to get started.
