I was interpreting "permitted" incorrectly for the red brass RTM. The code does say that galv. and stainless is permitted in all atmospheric conditions and occupancies, and then later that it is permitted in direct contact with earth.

So, I will be going with good old galv. steel.

That was my first thought. Then I noticed he's only going 6" deep which would require metal or brass. UF cable and PVC require 18" I do believe.

Wow, big mistake on my conduit size calculations. I was using diameter and not area. So, I don't need 2", I only need 3/4". Unless, the numbers are still playing trick with me.

For a product that is required by the NEC for burying cable less than 18", it is hard to find.

Looking of a source of Red Brass RMC

I am trying to find a source for 2" Red Brass RMC with 3 factory long radius 90's and appropriate fittings.

I want to run a 40 Amp 240V branch circuit to a shed that I am building that will have a small mini-split heat pump, a light and 120V and 240V outlets for bench testing motors.

The run will be buried just over 6" to avoid plumbing and the service feeder for my dwelling.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
