    Why would you open a window with the air conditioner running? Seems like a waste. Open all the windows up! LOL

    Is your condenser vertical discharge type? if so you might want to put a diverting cowl on top of it to change the discharge direction?

    so the hot air will offset the cooling and will heat up your place gradually. Funny thing is i did once see someone stick a small condenser in their living room blowing out through a window. i wonder where the unit gets the makeup air from..lol

    It’s nothing just an air coming out from condenser coil. If I would have problem in Air condition I always get it repaired by securecomfort

    Thanks....the window in question is a kitchen window we "crack open" while cooking and the ac compressor is right below it.

    To specifically answer your question, no there is no danger. The air coming off of the unit is just air. It is drawn across the condenser coil to cool the refrigerant that is sealed in the system and then discharged from the fan upward.

    The only issue is as stated before you are blowing heated air into a house that you are trying to cool.

    AC Compressors

    This might be a stupid question, but are there any issues with the air being blown out of an AC compressor coming into the home? We have an AC compressor right below a window that is frequently open and I was just curious.
