There are so many factors that could be causing this issue from flue/chimney issues to electrical issues to gas issues to combustion air issues, that it would be just wrong to be discussing it on an open forum like this.

Especially with the heating season kicking in in many areas it is a great discussion to have though. For those in the HVAC industry, professionally or active students in an HVAC schooling, let's get your post counts up to 15 posts and apply for professional status so we can discuss this on a professional forum.

Then he needs to apply for pro membership just as you do. We welcome pros and HVAC students who qualify with the proper credentials.
We do not have the luxury here of assuming as assuming can create an explosion in the wrong hands.

well if he is "lisenced" I still wouldn't want him to look at my system.
Now a "licensed" tech I would allow to look at my system.

We Do not give out tech advise with out first knowing the poster.
HVACR equipment is dangerous and can KILL, INJURE, BLOW THE PLACE UP ETC.

3) Hot surface ignitor turns on and stays yellow-orange color for 20-30 seconds

the gas valve will open to try and ignite the burners, if the ignition is not hot enough this will not happen.

Maybe still air in gas line?

You should get you one of those Edenpures I here they don't cost much to run and they never break down.

no heat question

everything starts up fine on gas furnace except: ventor motor starts,ignitor lights up, gas valve clicks open,here and smell gas going to burners,but no ignition...repeats this process...not sure how to fix this...i cleaned burner orifices,and gas burners,,no luck..will ignitor still glow,if it is faulty,,any help appreciated,,thanx..
