    Hey there Knotbuggn, I am pretty sure you are refering to the liquid line drier core shells. Yes they are steel and if you are in avery corrossive envrionment they will rust. Just do as Chris said.and give a good coat of paint agin. Good luck...

    are u talking about water strainers or refrigerant strainers., if refrigerant, shoud not be rusting at all., if it is replace strainers and do oil analysis!!!

    I have a 30GXR 135 and the strainers are rusting out can Is it safe to just repipe with cooper.
