Everything was reported to my boss. Whatever he did from there, I don't know. Every unit found like that was disabled and repaired properly.
Yup. Used to do a chain of Burger Kings that had a hot side hack. We did cold side and hvac but the hack would give kick backs to some of the managers to call him out before us . He loved muffler tape Your Joking Right? Why was he not Reported to someone? If I knew of someone operating like that and leaving it as a Fix not till the new part or Unit arrived. While checking Co levels ETC. Thats insane TSSA would fine him and could be charged and go to jail for doing that repeatdly just sad. Same goes for guys doing this to safety's No need for them in this trade.

"When installing the 'roll-out nut,' be sure to get as far away as possible from that location, use an alias, and explain how to dial "911" if they still can." Unbelievable--safeties are there for a reason, not an option!!!

Rollout nut New to the hvac world: The Rollout Nut. This new invention was stumbled upon quite by accident just like many other great inventions. In the manufacturing process of the lowly wire nut the metal wire gripper was accidentally omitted and in the heat testing phase the conductors became loose and lost their connection. Seizing upon this new found characteristic the brilliant inventor found his claim to fame. And now with new advancements in plastics they are now available in a myriad of temperatures all color coded for your convenience.
