You think it is good with BBQ sauce on it because BBQ sauce is loaded with sugar. Read the label.

MMMmmmm rrriiiibbbbssss.... If'n I wanted boiled ribs, I'da put da pot on... SSsssslllloooowwwwww on the BBQ with a mixed dry rub...YES!!!...Anything from lemon pepper to cajan to curry to italian...mix'em up...Even just plain S&P makes 'em good. MMmmmm I wet'em for company only (with BBQ sauces). I BBQ 'em as a rack just as with dry rub,, cut'm up AND THEN sauce 'em in a bowl and throw 'em back on the BBQ for 10 seconds max per side. I won't let them dry. Nice and messy. I mix up 5 or 6 different sauces as well...mix'em in a bowl with OJ or any fruit juice..Cranberry is real special. Nice when they're hot AND bite back! Had these on Saturday...Floss, yes!! (also baste my turkeys with real cranberry juice and let it flow into the stuffing, draw off the excess in the bottom so yer not boiling the turkey either and make gravy with that...Mmmmm)

James is right No! No! No! James 3528 is right. Dry rub and you'll never go back to damaging the pure flavor of ribs with demon BBQ sauce. You just think it's good because it might be all you never knew. Like bad breath is better than now breath at all. True Memphis ribs are dry rub and all I can say it takes about 4 1/2 to 6 hours plus a brine but it's all worth it. You can make a dipping sauce but it's not BBQ sauce. How come I'm so fussy? I really like ribs. Oh ya in passing a book by Steven Raichlen BBQ USA isn't bad eather.

A Yankee by birth, but I learned real fast how to cook pork in the ground.All this rib talk is making me hungry....and if the rub is that good that you don't add sauce market it! Johnboy&Billy are making $$$ off of their grillin sauce!

Hey not all us "yankees" are taste deprived I can kill a rack of ribs as well as the next guy I do prefer sauce and it should be just slightly burnt (caramelized) onto the ribs when cooking Slow cooked on the grill for a few hours add BBQ sauce about ½ hr before done and you got a meal Of course it doesn’t hurt to add some slaw or a baked potato
I love try new stuff but it is hard to beat bubbas bbq. of n.c. i hit that spot every trip fishing to the island.they serve you eate in meals for kids on a freaking frisbee. gives the kids something to do when iam fishing.
