    HotWater,

You might want so un-install it. Then install it correctly. It never surprises me any more about some of the short cuts. Others make. I would check the cabling from the user interphase to the indoor and outdoor units. Then check the wiring. A loose, missing ot broken ground tends to cause all sorts on mischief.

Boy ain't that the truth. I have one now that's giving me fits. I am iQdrive certified. My customers installer quit working with them (Nordyne) and my local distributor quit Nordyne too. I kind of inherited a basket case. Keep getting BLOWER RUN FAULT and BLOWER COMM FAULT on the controller. Replace board, psi switches and blower motor - made no difference. Can't get anywhere with Nordyne tech support either. Man what a headache this thing has become. I have lots of them out there too and this inherited one is the only one I have problems with.

Thanks for the input. I agree educating the consumer is key. Im wondering what the benifits of partnering up with some of the local solar companys is as far as a package deal. ive looked into it and most of the companys in my area have never heard of the IQDrive. Odd since there all about energy efficincy.

They have been great systems for us. I do agree the controller needs an upgrade

It can,, don't know right now how to show it but I will get back to you. You might need a newer controller with newer software. A lot has changed with them since 08

in '08 Hurricane Ike came through and I lost my A/C. When I replaced my system the local parts house manager (whom i'm good friends with) gave me the nordyne iq drive at her cost. it dropped my electric bill, I have the the condenser sitting on my back deck near my back door and unless the wind is blowing a certain direction and the system is in a step over 5 do I even hear it. Great humidity control, great temp control, great power savings. the only thing that they could improve on that would make it even better is the stat. The system has the capabilities for all pressure/temp sensing if it could report it to the stat for the technician to see it would be great.

I have one client that we installed a 4 ton with all new duct system and lowered his power bill a touch over $100 per month. The maytag has a 12 year parts and labor warranty so it is a great return on investment. We also do the Ritz Carlton here in my town and they have kinda like time share homes for the wealthy and we installed over 90 of the units for them.
It also does a great job of humidity removal. And ultra quiet! As far as the market place for them, we'll you might be surprised who we have that decides to buy one everyone from doctors and lawyers to everyday people, educating the client is huge!!

I have done some research and they seem pretty awesome. Carrier has also an inverter compressor. I have yet to install the Nordyne or Carrier.

I would also be interested in some feedback on these system.
