Some of the original Ball Valves leaked in sub zero conditions. I have replaced them with JB brand with seal caps

Oh boy...another post for Tommy and Freight I just went through this not too long ago...I found leaks on my maching (major leaks) at the liquid level sensor threads (my machine was a 249) and on the discharde ball valve cap. The cap didn't leak so much until it got hot. A good leak check will show the leaks...just hope it's not windy...that can be a pita. reliefs can be a good spot too...especially if there is a chance of really hot water running through the chiller.

Tighten up the packing nut on the discharge ball valve. Get her running at 100% with the liquid level between 1.8 -2.0.

Like I said ,,, look and look and look some more , check every possible area that has 134 behind it ,I've found some leaks in some unexpected places before ...

If you can't find one resort to going back in couple weeks and thereafter to monitor leak rates ..

Years ago I chased a leak all summer ,,,added charge every week,,,couldn't find a leak anywhere....

Turns out a kid was filling trash bags with the refrigerant at night so he could huff it and get high

A test you can have done to tell you what the integrity of your tubes is. Can't tell exactly how the magic they use all works but it's very helpful information to have. It will tell what tubes are leakin and what tubes are about too. Unless you want to buy the equipment and start doing it yourself, extremely expensive, how the magic works isn't all that important.

    Schedule an eddy current ....

Leak check and check and check every inch ...

    Still can't find it ?

Go back in two weeks and another two weeks and follow the factory charging procedure ,I'm sure you did this time , and if it's low you have an idea of your leak rate.
