Exactly, Trane does not hate or discriminate ,
Trane happens to be a factory supplier and service provider.,
One will be competing with an established knowledgeable and up to date company,
The question is are u as qualified and have the resources that a factory company does,?

Trane does not care about u or what ur doing, there go to go!

    Here u go

First off, when you have Comfortsite , u will be asked for user ID & password.
This will have account access to see all, therefore only a few people will have ID and PW ., to get comfort site , u need an active account w Trane, if u don't have an account you outta luck!!!! If. Have an account , your sales rep can do this,.
Comfortsite is for residential also,. So start there,. You can do both ,. Commecial and residential from There !! Now ur all good!

Like said earlier, NON COMPETE CLAUSE, but if it has been over a year, ur good,
If someone has worked for Trane I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND going after their customer IF U MEET THEM THROUGH TRANE, not ethical or right, now, what does someone do after they leave a factory company and a year goes by and now that person starts a business
Well open game,. HOWEVER you will not have the resources that an established company will have so there fore u will prob not get a Trane account anyways,

    Non Compete

When I was at Trane, they made me sign a non-compete form. So for a year after I left I could not own a company that was in direct competition for work.

But, regardless the ingersol/trane aftermarket supply manager got me signed up.

Just trying to confirm they are jerking my chain. Thanks

Ok let me clarify question. Did you or the company you work for sign up through a Trane Franchise office, OR, a Trane office owned by Ingersoll Rand?
(AKA Company store). Your answer will/should be either. 1. co office.
    Or, 2. Franchise office. Thanks

Same here, got my company to signed so I could be set up. Note: the site is very helpful, but make sure when you use it to search by serial numbers so it gives you your exact machine and you will get all your superseded parts. Plus note: my version for some reason on some break downs won't show all parts needed(gkts, orngs etc) but Trane will make sure all is included.

How did your Co. get signed up if they didn't go through Trane? Is the local Trane Office a Co owned store or a Franchise?

    Anyone use Comfortsite?

Anyone use Trane's Comfortsite for identifying parts? If so, did you get signed up through a Co. store or a Franchise?
Just interested in hearing from the guys that got signed up through a Franchise office.
Local office here is claiming they don't know anything about it, and don't have access to it.
Tempted to call BS on that, but I bit my tongue. I think they might be jerking me around cause I quit after 20 years of working there. I think I remember the outside Sales guy talking about getting contractors set up on Comfortsite, and that was several years ago, before I left.
My theory is, if I have to call them for parts ID they know where/what I am working on. If I have access to Comfort site they won't know.
