In 30yrs I for the life of me cannot find the magic combination of diagnostic bag or total loaded bag so I just use a small husky open top with hard carry handle on a fold out 2 wheeler (houses I do are half a da** block long etc) then leave the wheeler near the door outside. If i need the total loaded bag I go back with the wheeler and bring it back and so on and so on. Guys at the shop laugh at me and say "come on old man" but then a few weeks later they are copy catting my short cuts that fit there own situation!

This also includes many diagnostic short cuts that are not in a book, just you learn how to narrow down to the real problem.

I don't think at 56 and used up there is an answer to this!

I just use my tech LC for everything most of the time. I will just take the 11 in 1 and a meter for something easy though.

I use a Targus laptop case for meters. Plenty of extra compartments for hand tools.

so for a fairly new veto owner i should expect to have zipper issues i take it. it kinda defeats the purpose of why i bought it though. i was hoping to not have to replace my tool bag anymore. but you get the 5 year warranty so use it. p[aid good money for it make them stand behind it for the full term of warranty.

I got accused of abusing my Veto bag the last time I swapped it under warranty. They started making it sound like they couldn't replace it, etc, etc. I finally talked them into the replacement but when the zipper started failing two days after recieving the new one I figured "screw it" and used it about a year or so until the zippers just flat out wouldn't do anything anymore and threw it in the basement.

I heard the reason they won't go to a nice brass zipper is because it would loose it's waterproof-ness. Well, big shocker, when the bag won't close, it doesn't have much waterproof-ness either.

I won't even think about buying one until they figure out how to put a zipper that's worth a damned on it.

Good to hear they are still on the Zero Downtime things.

For a while, they had removed it from their website.

My zippers are occasionally sticking or not completely zipping.

You still going to post those pics, Mark?

2 year old bag, still in great shape, except now the tooth part of one of the zippers is broken, and it isn't even on the side I've done the repair to the slider on.
Isn't there a 5 year warranty on the zipper?

    Wimps!

I carry my Veto XL everywhere.

Ok, to be honest, it is a bit heavy, so I've been looking at downsizing a little to a Veto LC-Tech and setting my XL up as an install bag.

On another note, I figured out what "fails" on the Veto zippers, and how to fix it so the zipper works like new.
The repair takes less than 30 seconds!
I'll make a thread and post a couple of pictures this weekend.

Someone here posted about a CLC(?) bag they bought at JS and made a cpvc stand setup.

Eyes and ears first, and then I go straight for the Veto LC. Unless the job is downtown, most of the time I'm parked within 50' of where I'm working, so it's not really as big of a deal as if I was doing mall rooftops.
