sorry . ill be nice, if i could get one admid person to respect and understand the techs point of view, its worth it. no disrespect, i didnt call anyone any name all i said was a svc tech who is good shouldt ever consider leaving becuase his employer should make sure he is happy, they depend on it. get the guy some help, pay him well and let him train some guys to take some of the load. you will profit from this in the long run. your business will grow because the breed is dieing off, see that and know, you need to take your good people and pay them to train other people. to clone themselves. that is the key. im looking for good people to mold, just like every hvac contractor in the usa is and its going to be harder every year. good night all. god bless america. at least we are free to have these problems.......

unlike your so called million dollar making company abc guy i have been specific as to how much of a small company we are. i do not need you to tell me how you run your business nor do i need an advise from you, i posted an ad here because I am looking for techs who can help out the other techs that we have now in our company and techs who can replace the big headed tech that we have now. I can not respect a person (HIS GF) if they can not show me respect to begin with. please stop replying to my thread because instead of me trying to focus on getting some help here you make it all about you so why dont you just make a thread where you can make a autobiogrphy of your self and your company and trust me when i say that the last thing that i wanna do is post a reply on one of you r threads.

Whether correct or incorrect, right or wrong, we are each entitled to our opinions. If you disagree with a posters idea, feel free to counter, but let's keep it civil and keep the name calling off of the site.

Think about your posts before you post it. Is it worth getting the boot? We are all guests on someone elses site...be nice or begone.

hey who asked your age? i dont know, but i do know if he is all you got, your doing something wrong. one tech? how can one tech support a bussiness? my company was started by one tech, doing sidework. now we do 8 mill a year and guees what, the svc dept is the core for it all. svc breeds sales, sales feeds everything else and pays the overhead wich is you. take care of svc and svc will take care of you. look at it from a customers point of view, the tech gets you in the door, you do what ya want once ya get in, but ya gotta get in first. i could go into business tomorow and dump the overhead (you) and make a killing, but, the cust base already here makes me more important and worth more, take care of your tech, or starve. respect his life (gf) try it. get him a helper to train, and another, and a few more. just a thought. been there done that. im realy not an ass, just a realist.

ACBYJ GUY since you are one of the most ignorant person ive ever met here, id like to make it clear the following to you:

    1) i only have 1 kid
    2) between you and me you sound more desperate than i am especially when you start asking a person if shes hot or not
    3) you obviously dont have anything better to do than show the members here how you do not comprehend the rules and regulation for posting replies on threads
    4) that after repetitive intances that people are not asking you how good you are or how much you make , you still insist on telling everybody on this site that you are this and that , for all i care you could just be a security guard for the company you work for
    5) so spare us the explanations as to how you are so good at what you are doing and what you do now coz frankly my dear i dont give a f*ck

now buzz off and create a new thread and hope that you will get some people to speak to you or pretend you are geting a call from your dispatcher wife and role play for once maybe u will get lucky for once.

because there is a fine line between being good at what you are doing and taking adavantage of a situation where you know your employer will do everything to keep you.
just an idea of what is the demand of the tech here

A.) he is not certified liek all you people are, he was taken under the wing of a former HVAC tech that we had who retired.

B.) his gf made a big deal about not being on our health insurance when she is just a girlfriend and not a wife and unfortunately by law i can not give her what she is asking for.

c)as much as I want to give him what he is asking for I can not do it coz i know there are more qualified people out there who can do what hes doing now and not get big headed and love what they are doing ofcourse they also know tht long hours are a part of their job.

    d) the techs takes a vacation leave every month nott o mention PAID leave! so like i said its one thing to take care of an employee and its another thing when you are being taken advantage of an employee.

**good point but just because we work alot it doesnt make us bad parents or people**

by anymeans did i refer to my dad as a bad parent or person, im just simply stating that i know what an HVAC techs go through and their families as well and i sure do not want to go through that again as I am still facing the wrath of my dad not being able to sit on a thanksgiving diner with us simply because he had a service call. I do not hate him for leaving us to help the person who does not have heat at their house but i applaud him for trying to help out a person that he doesnt even know and knwoing that at the end of the day hes got a smile on his face knwoing that he helped out a family in need. Its still makes more sense for me to have my family together all the time rather than me having to hate it when a phone go off knowing that it will be a service call.

*** first of all mr certified in so many ways** I am a chick and the reason i posted here like i said is A.) I got the impression that this site will offer me not just help from other HVAC and most certainly find a good HVAC tech and B.) I do not recall asking you what you are worth and how much you are certified as a tech, i am simply stating what our company offers and if its not for you then why take the time to reply to my forum? is it a matter of ego power? I really do hope you are as good as how you say you are im glad for you if its true you are an addition to what you call GOOD TECHS. C.) not every business here can offer you what you are asking for I can honestly tell you that we are a small company and therefore the incentives that I have mentioned is what we can offer and no bullsh*t. and last but not the least D.) i know exactly what family of an HVAC goes through especially with the overtime and service calls. For one, my father is one and hes been in the business for 30 yrs and my brother is one too working for apartment complex in Virginia, unfortunately I can not hire any of them as we are family and my father is self employed in this area and never failed to put put food on the table by doing what hes doing now. so do not tell me that I do not know what exactly the girlfriend feels about the tech not being around all the time because I have experienced it for 20 years, we never complained because this is the career he chose and therefore we face the consequence as long as hes happy with what hes doing.

depends on where you stay, the time of year and all that. scottsdale is high end, central phx is low end. north phx is middle ground. we are in the scottsdale airpark. depends on what kind of vacation you are used to. i lean twords the bahamas and splurge. its all up to you. i can tell you the housing market here is out of control. i made over 100k last year on my house but if i sell i have to move to a less desireable area, its all on how much you investigate. life is good here, if you use your head.
