Go to your local hydraulic etc. strore and ask there. Here in Finland our local hydraulic's shop's sell those sightglases with o-rings.

That's good news. I had an old Welch Duoseal pump that dribbled oil everywhere. Never had to change oil in it, just topped it off now and then.
The head on my pump is new. Unscrewed the brass hex nut holding the sight class...no fricik' O ring! Scavenged the O ring from the old head ...screwed the brass back in...leak stopped.
If you do it hvaclover lets us know how it goes, mine is leaking as well

What brand and how old? Maybe some JB weld and pull a slight vacuum on it. I repaired many studio apartment size refrigerator evaporator coils with this method. May not look to pretty.
