Maybe right on the verge of dying...like a flashlight going dim...keeps surging above and beyond the battery pass/fail voltage?

Not trying to be a Smart*ss, but why not change the battery?

Not trying to hijack the thread but I have a jace 600 today and going back thru the logs it appears that the battery is failing the battery test a couple times a day but then it passes.

Its almost a continuous loop of battery test fail then about 7-8 hours later it will pass then an hour after that it fails and continues the loop..

    fail....7-8 hours....pass....1 hour....fail......7-8 hours.....pass.....1 hour......fail.....etc...

Like the battery is charging but not holding its charge.

None of mine are "critical" so I don't replace them until they fail the "battery test" the JACE runs on them. I have some that are going on 8 years.

    Jace 6 Battery Replacement Interval

    Been a while...but I'm back...like a bad penny.

Question: How often do you replace your PM Contract Jace Batteries?

The Manual says every 3 years, but later on says every year if Jace ambient is > 122*F.

So I'm wondering if Battery life reduces linearly as Jace ambient increases.

The reason I ask is we have 5 Jaces in one Equipment Room that's about 100* plus in the summer (chillers and steam heat exchangers).

I know, the safe way is to replace every year, but those batteries aren't cheap anymore.
