I have been using ryobi now for two years and like them. I have used them against dewalt on many occasions and they have not let me down until lately. the batteries are almost worn out and will not hold a charge like they used to.

My only gripe with them is the batteries will not charge til they cool down. they may have fixed that by now.

They take a lickin' & keep on tickin'!!!


That German brand should be in the above list as well. They are an equal.




If money is your motivating factor, just buy a Rigid at Home depot and be done with it. Great warranty and free batteries for a long time.
But they are not as good a tool, wont last as long and wont do as much nor function nearly as well.

I had One and I smoked the motor!! Not a big craftsman fan I replaced my 19.2 with rigid 18v 1/2 cordless so far so good no problems yet.

my drill did the same thing,look into the end of the chuck and you will see what looks like a large phillips head screw use that to adjust the tension of the chuck.other than that the set is great,i wouldnt try to build a house with it but its still good

But my keyless chuck gets to tight I have to tap it with a hammer to loosen it up But I love it
I got mine on ebay came with flashlight stud finder and a smaller drill all for $90.00 to my door I was Inpressed Ive had it for about 2 years now no proplems

I have got a craftman 19.2v drill too. two batteries and charger.

Great torque (equal to Dewalt's 14.4),but not the price My only gripes.... Keyless chuck doesn't tighten up as well and not all 19.2v craftman batteries are interchangeable.

Hammer setting work pretty well too.

I have the drill and have no problems with it. They are pretty tough. I dropped mine from an attic down to 2 floors to the basement and it still works fine. Not even a small crack. Even though it is my back-up drill, I must say that I am pretty happy with it.

I recently got a set, a gift from my beloved wife, recip, circ, light, and drill. They work fine no problems. I've not dropped one, far yet, but they seem tough. My only gripe is they are made in China and are a little on the heavy side.

any body got a take on the craftsman 19.2 series of cordless tools. saw them yesterday and they looked pretty good plus they had a price that wasn't bad
