No excuse for that ! Over a cell phone? The other kids need their priorities straightened out ( plus the parents). The Kidnapping thing may be a dead end but maybe filing a charge may wake up both the kids and their parents. I got jumped in Jr High by 3 guys and beat pretty good. 4 years later ran into the guy that started the whole thing and told him to leave the building or he was dead meat. Oh yea, I had grown 10 inched and outweghed him by 30 lbs., He disapeared in the blink of an eye. I guess he wasn't so tough with out his buddies. Play it by the rules but someday it will come back to the other kids and they won't like it, at all !
Sounds like you and your son just hit the lottery.... You may not have them by the nuts in criminal court but you will dominate in civil court. I hope your son gets through this.
How is your son handling it? In front of the camera he sounds very objective about it, make sure that he understands what can happen if he seeks extreme revenge, IE assault. I do not know your son, but I know the way I would have handled it when I was a kid. I would have found a way to take them out one at a time with a brick to the head. Sometimes a fair one on one fist fight is the best way for a boy or man to clear the air, but ganging up is for pusses! Hope that they can resolve this without it becoming a big political and news fiasco where the parents and the authorities are so busy blaming each other that the kids get lost in the mix.
i never went to the news when i got beat up... i just got even it is a petty shame that the kids beat him because a phone got wet... stupid kids.
I hope the media will bring the right attention and something will be done.

Lawyers suck in cases like this.

that is why kids bring guns to schools

I was thinking the same thing as HeyBob, wondering if the parents have connections. I've seen that too. No results here unless it is a felony offense?? As of now, no case has been filed.

Most likely in that area, ask Robin about them, he has first hand knowledge that they can be useful.
