do you see the spiral pipe business becoming more popular, have you ever used oval spiral pipe?
You would have to do A LOT of spiral to justify the machine. For smaller jobs you can buy spiral premade at a supply house at very reasonable prices. My supply house stocks every spiral pipe and fitting you could need to build out a residence, restaurant, or strip mall. Only once you get into big stuff like supermarkets and industrial with 36"+ spiral would you need the machine. of course if you have the machine you can make every size duct in unlimited lengths which is pretty cool
moved to tech to tech
i want to know more about spiral duct mfg so far looks like a very large investment

OTH, if you are going to be doing residential work, then I would recommend just buying spiral from another company on an "as needed" basis. We buy spiral pipe from a company 60 miles from us and have it in our hands in 2 days, cheap.
Who are you asking? ^^^
You give us so little information that asking that question is foolish. I do not understand why people are ashamed of were they live so they leave that blank. So to answer your question,if you live in the country and there are only 100 houses in a 50 mile radius of your shop, then no its not a good idea.

If that makes you're shop little, then my shop is bearly a blimp on the map. Needless to say, we don't have a spiral duct machine.
