Gruntly's suggestion for Omron is good too. I'm using six of them to flush out solids from steam humidifiers twice daily....4 years and have not had a failure
jtricor : a dryer would be ok for removing moisture, I need to remove the water first from the tanks. Rimek , i think the artisian timer would work , thanks for the link
Just two timers one (make on break) and one (break on make) And one DPDT relay.
Hey, here's some more- http://www.newark.com/NewarkWebComme...&Ntk=gensearch The Artisan one at the bottom of the list is probably good for what you want-costwise and functionally-may need to go pilot duty depending on the valve, don't forget to tame the spikes with an MOV.
Paragon carries some industrial process timers, but I prefer Omron (I think they're sold in the states). Sounds like you need something like the H5BR or less digital the H3BA timer. They're called an automatic reset timers...The repeat their program at whatever interval you put in it. Can be milliseconds, on or off, if you require. Usually sold at an electrical wholesaler for industrial processes like, as you mentioned, purge condensate, chemical feed or bottling. http://oeiweb.omron.com/Products-Timers.shtm [Edited by gruntly on 03-15-2005 at 04:39 PM]
like this? http://www.artisancontrols.com/products/4600.htm
If your generateing that much moisture that you have to blow down every min. or so you need to think about a drier, otherwise you could use a cheap time clock and set up what ever intervals you want.
I have seen valves that are timed to open momentairly and close and do so every _ minutes. The applications I have seen them on are used to blow condensation out of an air compressor tank----in the $200.00 price range. I would like to try and build the same type of circuit Using an asco valve with a 110 volt coil, I have seen timed relays that you can set an on /off time , but I havnt seen one that I can get to repeat every so many minutes is there such a relay out there or should I use two timers to make this happen
